The community of Red Lion is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Shawn Bosley, a beloved husband, father, friend, and dedicated worker, who has sadly passed away. Shawn was known not only for his commitment to his family and work, but also for the joy, laughter, and camaraderie he brought into the lives of everyone who knew him.
Shawn was married to Amanda Bosley and worked at York Excavating Co LLC, where he was respected and admired for his hard work and reliability. Outside of work, he was a man who found meaning in the simplest joys—spending time in the garage with friends, sharing laughs, planning trips, and always being present for those around him.
Tributes have poured in from friends who are struggling to process his sudden passing. Matthew Smith shared heartfelt words on social media, writing:
“I’m still shocked!! I could only find 5 pics in 20 years but I got a million in my head… Our stories will outlive us and I’ll be sure to tell them when I get the chance… we were just in the garage a few weeks ago telling them. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time… ya better have a beer ready for me when I get up there!! I’ll miss ya buddy Shawn Bosley.”
Another friend, Jeff Taylor, also reflected on their friendship:
“I don’t know what to say big guy—you’re definitely gonna be missed. We were just hanging out a couple weeks ago and talked about going to Hagerstown and having a good time this year like always… I’m definitely gonna miss you, big guy Shawn Bosley.”
