Chad Blow Topeka, KS, Obituary, Death; loved ones mourns

The community of Topeka is mourning the loss of Chad Blow, a beloved husband, father, friend, and veteran whose presence left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His passing has prompted an outpouring of tributes and heartfelt messages across social media, reflecting the deep impact he had on his family, fellow servicemembers, and friends.

Among those honoring Chad’s memory, Merle Amrine shared a deeply moving tribute:
“It is with a heavy heart I had to say goodbye to one of my dearest best friends yesterday, Chad Blow. I cannot express the amount of emotion that is coursing through my veins—not only for me, but the entire family and group of friends. It is truly an honor and pleasure to have had this man by my side when I needed that in-person Vet therapy. He was my rock and I, his… I will miss our chats, playing bags, the laughs, the shared emotions, but most of all, the Hunts! Here’s to you, my friend. Peace be with you and Godspeed. We will meet again. Rest easy, My Brother in life and In-Arms.”

Chad served his country with pride and dedication in the Kansas Air National Guard. A moment of joy remembered by many was in December 2011, when Chad, then a 2nd Lt., along with Capt. Amy Blow and their three daughters, took part in the BNSF “Holiday Express” ride at the Amtrak Depot in Topeka—a cherished family memory filled with holiday magic.

Chad Blow will be remembered for his unwavering support of fellow veterans, his devotion to family, and the loyalty he showed to his friends. His legacy of strength, love, and service will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
