The community of Sarnia, Ontario is mourning the heartbreaking and unexpected loss of Mya Rogers, a woman remembered by her loved ones as the embodiment of compassion, warmth, and deep, unconditional love. Mya touched the lives of many through her kindness, selflessness, and unwavering support for those around her.
Described by family and friends as “the most caring and compassionate person,” Mya lived her life with an open heart. She was an exceptional mother, sister, daughter, and best friend, known for loving deeply and giving generously. Her presence brought comfort, joy, and laughter—especially to those closest to her.
Beyond her nurturing spirit, Mya also brought a vibrant energy to everyday life. She was proudly known as the best self-proclaimed Fortnite player ever, a title that spoke to her playful and competitive nature, and her ability to create joy even in the smallest moments.
As the community begins to come to terms with her loss, loved ones are gathering to honor her memory. Courtney Bressette has shared that a sacred fire has been lit in Mya’s honor at 9101 Eagle Drive, and all who wish to pay their respects are welcome to come and do so in their own time and way.
In addition, Ashley Symington has created a GoFundMe fundraiser to help support Mya’s family during this difficult time. The funds will go toward covering the costs of visitations, funeral services, and future expenses for Mya’s beloved daughter, Jaijah Ann Wolfe. The community is encouraged to donate and share the fundraiser to help ease the financial burden on Mya’s grieving family.
Mya’s light may no longer shine in the physical world, but her love, laughter, and the incredible impact she had on so many lives will live on. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
